Join us in Santa Monica on June 19th for a discussion on the business challenges and environmental impact of cannabis packaging requirements in California.
What are the packaging requirements, how do they affect brands and the environment, what can we learn from other states, and how we can engage with the regulatory agency that determines the requirements?
July 1, 2018 marks the end of what we in the cannabis industry call “the transitional period.” Any cannabis packaging that is not compliant with 2018 California regulations will be restricted from the market.
Presentation followed by panel discussion.
Speakers
Dr. Juli Crockett, former Chief Compliance Officer of W Vapes and current Director of Compliance for MMLG.
Christina Dempsey, Education, Training & Outreach Manager – Manufactured Cannabis Safety Branch, California Department of Public Health
Courtney Freeman, product development expert and Founder, White Buffalo Spirit
Andrew Hopkins, Director, Compliance and Logistics, The Werc Shop
James Eichner, CEO, Sana Packaging
The purpose of this event is to educate brands and retailers on packaging requirements and to then have a round table advocacy discussion on current regulations related to packaging. So come join us and have your voice heard. The conversation will be filmed and shared with the California Department of Public Health’s Manufactured Cannabis Safety Branch, the office that sets the packaging requirements for manufacturers.
A big thank you to our supporters and partners! Without their help, these events would not be possible.
